Let's face it. Last Friday's BlackBerry Q1 2014 earnings report was nothing to write home about. The company lost money - which may have technically been due to a Venezuelan currency issue, but at the end the day the company hardly raked in the cash.
What ET was covering was research, albeit somewhat anecdotal due to the small size of the sample, done by Dr Corina Sas from Lancaster University and Professor Steve Whittaker of the University of California at Santa Cruz. The two interviewed 24 young people about how they handled the evidence of their broken relationship in the online world. Their conclusions following the interviews were that social networking sites should offer people the ability to delete a couple's join content if their relationship fell about.
New reports suggest that Mark Pincus is set to step out of the CEO slot at Zynga, and in his place will come a fairly major name in his own right: former head of Microsoft's entertainment division Don Mattrick. The changing of the guard comes at a very challenging time for Zynga, but can Mattrick's experience provide the turnaround so needed?
With a major heat wave hitting the West, I'm hearing a lot of complaints from neighbors and folks north of me who haven't yet felt the need to put in air conditioning. I share their pain, or would if I didn't have a fix, because I too have trouble sleeping when it is blazing hot.
It is unusual that a tax case in the U.S. could end up having some interesting repercussions for the structure of the telecommunications and cable TV industries nationwide. This may be an instance where a spark in Arizona ignites a firestorm.
